Magiclab is a Prague based post-production and VFX Studio with permanent staff of 60 employees and offices in both Slovakia and Poland. During the past 10 years we have been rapidly growing and have gained reputation for high quality creative visual effects and are known as a highly artistic, and technically reliable full circuit post-production studio in Central Europe.

PIPELINE
Our pipeline is based on ShotGrid and we are using tools like Nuke, Houdi-ni, Maya, Afinity, Unreal and brings breathtaking scenes and characters to life for film and TV. We also run two screening suites with DCI Standard projectors, and we are HDR Dolby certified facility.
WORK FOLOW
We endeavor to assist production in each step of the process, from pre-production to post-production. We believe that successful visual effects arise out of planning. Our involvement often begins during the script phase.

We love sharing our passion for motion pictures and work hard on establishing long-term relationships with all our clients. Magic Lab’s co-production A Man of Integrity, directed by Hamburg based Moham-mad Rasoulof received the main Award Un Certain Regard in Cannes which was followed by Fugue directed by Agnieszka Smoczyńska competing at the Semaine de la Critique section. Our first feature film for The Walt Disney Studios was Guy Rit-chie‘s Aladdin starring Will Smith, this collaboration was followed by The Gentlemen and recently Wrath of Man and Operation Fortune for Miramax.
Besides delivering or co-producing feature films our TV work includes 8-part TV se-ries Das Verschwinden, directed by Hans-Christian Schmid, which premiered dur-ing the Munich Film Fest and broadcasted on ARD – Das Erste. Traditionally, Ma-giclab is the post-production & VFX partner on Der Zürich-Krimi TV Series directed by Roland Suso Richter for ARD. Our team created visual effects for Drama Fantasy 8-part series A Discovery of Witches produced by Bad Wolf and Sky productions. We have delivered visual effects for an Austrian-German 8-part TV series Freud, which pre-miered in Berlinale and aired on ORF and later on Netflix. Open Your Eyes is our recent Netflix show.
We are delighted to be partner to Film and TV School of Academy of Performing Arts in Prague – FAMU and work with talented filmmakers such as Daria Kashcheeva whom film Daughter, the winner of 46th Student Academy Award, the gold medal in In-ternational Animation film category.
Our recent co-production Charlatan directed by Agnieszka Holland premiered during Berlinale as well as Matteo’s Garrone dark tale Pinocchio starring Roberto Benigni. Leave No Traces directed by Jan P. Matuszyński competed in Biennale (Venice Film Festival). Lastly Beatiful Beings directed by Guðmundur Arnar Guðmundsson competed during Berlinale as well as Somewhere Over the Chemtrails by Adam Koloman Rybanský.
